Frequently asked questions
How it works
How does this work?
You describe the plumbing job in the form and pick your town. We route it to an independent plumber covering that side of the county, and they call you back to talk it through.
Who calls me back?
One plumber who covers your town. Nobody else gets your number, and there is no queue of competing callbacks.
Does it cost anything to ask?
No. The request is free and the callback is free. Whatever the plumber charges for the job is between you and them.
Is this a plumbing company?
No, and it does not pretend to be one. It is a way to reach an independent local plumber without sorting through directories. The plumbing, the price, and the license belong to whoever calls back.
Can I get a plumber on a Saturday or Sunday?
Sometimes. The plumbers who take these requests set their own hours, and more of them pick up weekend calls than you might think. Send the request and the reply itself is the answer.

How do I verify a plumber's license in Idaho?
Idaho licenses journeyman plumbers and plumbing contractors through the Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses. Ask for the license number and run it through the public search on the DOPL site before anyone starts work. A plumber who hesitates on the number is telling you something.
Do I need a permit for plumbing work in Nampa?
For installations and additions, yes: Nampa's trade-permit rules require a plumbing permit for piping and drainage work, with exceptions for repairs like fixing a leak or swapping a broken fixture. The work has to be done by a licensed journeyman plumber under an Idaho plumbing contractor license, or by the homeowner on their own home.
How much does a plumber cost in Canyon County?
That depends on the job, and honest numbers come after a look, not before. What moves the price: whether the work is repair or replacement, how far the plumber has to travel into the rural towns, parts and permit fees, and whether the job turns out bigger inside the wall than it looked outside. The callback is where the estimate conversation starts.

Is the water hard in Nampa?
Moderately. Nampa's consumer confidence report puts hardness up to about 7 grains per gallon, enough to scale water heaters and fixtures over years. The rural towns on wells often run harder than the city.
Should I worry about septic instead of sewer?
If you are in Nampa or Caldwell proper, you are on city sewer. In the rural towns and rural properties, you may be on a septic tank, and a slow drain there can mean the tank needs service rather than the line. Say which you are on in the request; the plumber will read the symptom differently either way.
What should I do when a pipe freezes?
Shut the main off before it thaws if it has split. Idaho cold snaps hit exposed hose bibs, crawlspace lines, and irrigation backflow first. If it is frozen but intact, warm the pipe slowly and leave the main on low; if it burst, the main goes off and the call goes in.
My town is not listed. Can you still help?
If the property sits inside Canyon County, send the request anyway with the nearest listed town. The county's plumbers cover the places between the names.
